The Good News That Sounds Too Good to Be True—But It Is

Sometimes the Good News sounds too good to be true.

That God would love someone like me? That He would forgive every sin, wash away every stain, and not only save me—but call me His own child?

And yet—that’s exactly what He’s done.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ isn’t just good news—it’s the best news. And the reason it feels almost unbelievable is because it’s built entirely on grace. Not our works, not our perfection, not our past or performance. It is the finished work of JESUS, paid in full by His blood and sealed by the love of the Father.

“But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”John 1:12 (ESV)

Because of Jesus, we are not only forgiven—we are family. Sons. Daughters. Heirs. No longer strangers, orphans, or enemies. God didn’t just pardon us—He restored us. He adopted us into His eternal household and gave us His name, His Spirit, and His promises.

I know this personally. I once lived far from this truth—lost in sin, shackled by shame, and unsure if I’d ever be free. But then His love came for me. It found me in the dark, lifted me out of the pit, and didn’t just clean me up—it gave me a new identity.

Because of His love for me, I am a daughter. I am chosen. I am His.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”1 John 3:1 (NIV)

This is the power of the Gospel. It doesn’t just fix what’s broken—it recreates us. It doesn’t just improve our lives—it resurrects them. When we believe in Jesus, we are made new. We are no longer defined by our past—we are defined by His purpose.

And this gift isn’t just for me. It’s for everyone who believes.

If you’ve ever wondered if you were too far gone, too broken, too sinful for God to use—you’re the perfect candidate for salvation. Jesus didn’t come for the “perfect.” He came for the wounded, weary, and willing. And He paid it all—every debt, every shame, every failure. The cross was enough.

So believe the Good News. It’s not a fairy tale. It’s not a myth. It’s not wishful thinking. It’s the real, redeeming power of God that takes rebels and makes them royalty—sons and daughters of the King.

Receive it. Walk in it. Rejoice in it.

You are not who you used to be—you are a child of the Most High God. And that changes everything
